Hazardous Waste Drop Off

Safely dispose of household hazardous waste items at Rep. Haas’ upcoming Hazardous Waste Drop Off Drive!

The drive will be hosted at the City of Kankakee Public Works Department Parking Lot, located at 401 W. Oak Street in Kankakee. This event is in partnership with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the City of Kankakee, and the Kankakee Fire Department.

Accepted Items Include:

• Oil-based paints
• Used motor oil
• Paint thinners
• Drain cleaners
• Herbicides
• Lawn chemicals
• Insecticides
• Solvents
• Household batteries
• Latex paint
• Pesticides
• Antifreeze
• Old gasoline
• Hobby chemicals
• Pool chemicals
• Aerosol paints and pesticide
• Cleaning products
• Fluorescent lamp bulbs
• Mercury

No business, agricultural, industrial, or commercial waste allowed.
