KANKAKEE – In conjunction with Pledge for Life Partnership, KAMEG, and other community partners, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) is co-hosting a prescription drop-off event on Saturday, April 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is being held in the Northfield Square Mall East parking lot, located at 1600 N. State Route 50 in Bourbonnais.
“I invite all District 79 area residents to stop by and drop off any unwanted or expired medication,” said Rep. Haas. “Properly disposing of prescription medications is one important way to keep our community safe. I look forward to hosting this event alongside other community partners who are invested in making our community safer.”
Accepted medications include tablets, capsules, other solid forms of prescription drugs, patches, and vaping devices and cartridges (lithium batteries removed). Restricted items include liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes, and needles.
