KANKAKEE – For her January 2024 local business spotlight, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) recognizes Frankie’s Pizzeria in Monee. Rep. Haas spent time touring the business and presented the owners with a certificate of appreciation for their contributions to the community.
“This month, we are honored to recognize Frankie’s Pizzeria in Monee because of their incredible employees and customer service,” said Rep. Haas. “Customers rave about their excellent service and appreciate that many of their employees have worked there for years.”
Frankie’s Pizzeria was founded in 1983 by owner Frank Aprile. Before that, Frank worked at the pizza place located in their current location. At 22 years old, he had the opportunity to buy the restaurant, and reopened it under the current name at 23. Frank has expanded his business to other locations and plans to pass the business down to his son and current employee, Mike.
Rep. Haas concluded, “I also want to highlight the commitment of owner Frank Aprile and his employees who remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many businesses, especially locally owned restaurants, were forced to permanently close during this time. It was no easy feat for Frank and his team to remain open, and I commend their dedication to do so.”
Frankie’s Pizzeria is located at 25921 S Governors Hwy in Monee. For more information, visit their website at FrankiesPizzeria.com.
