Heidi Mueller, former Director of the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice, will take over the embattled Department of Children and Family Services starting February 1. The new director has a long road ahead to fix the ongoing issues within DCFS but we are hopeful for a collaborative relationship as we work together to ensure the safety of our state’s most vulnerable children.
