KANKAKEE – In an effort to ensure every 79th District community has access to her office, Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) will be hosting office hours in the northern part of her district. While Rep. Haas’ main district office is located in Kankakee, this is a way for area residents to easily access important state resources, meet their State Representative, and have their questions answered on important pieces of legislation.
The office hours will begin on February 15th at the Monee Village Hall (5130 W Court Street) from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and will continue every Wednesday. Constituents are invited to stop by with their questions, concerns, or issues with state agencies.
“I am very excited to get started with my Monee satellite office hours,” said Rep. Haas. “These office hours are a great way for my office and me to connect with each corner of my district, to meet more constituents and hear directly what issues are important to them. It’s one way I hope to continue to represent our community well in Springfield: by making the services of my legislative office accessible to everyone in the 79th District.”
These office hours will continue throughout the legislative session in Monee and at Rep. Haas’ main district office in Kankakee (370 E Court St.). Rep. Haas also reminds constituents that the 79th District has changed this term to include portions of Kankakee, Crete, Richton Park, University Park, Park Forest, and Monee.
