State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) is hosting a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross. The event is Friday, September 30th from 11:00am—4:00pm at the Bourbonnais Municipal Center, 700 Main Street, NW.
Representative Haas’ Blood Drive will help local blood banks increase their supply to prevent any statewide blood shortage, which has effected Illinois in the past. This is the second blood drive Haas has hosted in in her district over the last year and she encourages her constituents to come out and donate to help bolster the state’s supply.
“Blood donation is a small step we can all take to help save lives,” said Rep. Haas. “I have seen our community turn out in droves to donate and I am constantly impressed with the work we are able to do together. Blood banks need our help right now and I know our community here will step up to the challenge.”
