State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee), in partnership with the Illinois State Treasurer’s office, will be hosting an Unclaimed Property Event on June 28th. The event will be from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Coal City Public Library (85 N. Garfield St. Coal City, IL).
“I am very happy that I can partner with the Treasurer’s Office to host this event,” said Haas. “This kind of thing isn’t something that people check up on that often, so to give them the opportunity to see if they have any unclaimed assets with the state is great.”
Community members are invited to come out and meet with a representative from the State Treasurer’s Office to search for unclaimed assets that could potentially belong to them. There are $3.5 billion in unclaimed funds currently held by the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office belonging to Illinois residents, and some of that could be yours!
