State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) recently recognized a local business in her 79th legislative district as part of her monthly business spotlight program.
Rep. Haas presented Walmart in Kankakee—and General Manager Chris Delgado—with a certificate from the Illinois House of Representatives to recognize their achievements and congratulate them on providing excellent service to the community.
“We have an outstanding make-up in the area of great local businesses, and this one is exceptional,” said Rep. Haas. “I am grateful to be able to highlight this business and to recognize the hard working managers and employees here for going above and beyond especially in times of need.”
Under Delgado’s management, Walmart was key in helping the local fire department locate necessary supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The ongoing global health pandemic has been a huge weight on many in our community, but coming together to get through it—especially to help fight for the health and well-being of others—is what it’s all about and this business is a shining light in that,” continued Haas.
