State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) recently recognized a local business in her 79th legislative district as part of her monthly business spotlight program. For September, she has chosen to highlight Cornerstone Coffee House in Peotone, located right in the heart of the downtown at 124 W Main Street.
Representative Haas visited the shop this week to present owners, Jim and Amy Williams, with an official certificate from the Illinois House of Representatives, recognizing their service to the community. Rep. Haas’ visit also coincided with Cornerstone’s 1-year anniversary.
“This coffee house does so much more than serve coffee—they are a great addition to the community here in Peotone and a delight to have right in the downtown,” said Haas. “It’s always special to see small businesses succeed and this one has reached a great first year milestone. I am pleased to have this business be a part of the larger 79th District and encourage our local residents to stop by and see it for themselves!”
