Rep. Haas Honors Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator for April Local Business Spotlight

KANKAKEE – For her April 2024 local business spotlight, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) recognizes Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator in Park Forest. Rep. Haas spent time touring the business and presented the owner with a certificate of appreciation for her contributions to the community.

“I am honored to recognize Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator for my April Local Business Spotlight,” said Rep. Haas. “Poppin Plates is an incredible local business that is dedicated to helping our community grow.”

Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator is a commercial facility that offers a full kitchen to other new businesses looking to access a shared space. The inspiration for this business came from the owner, Fershawnda Green, in 2018 after her experience driving to Chicago every day to utilize a shared kitchen space. She decided to open her own shared kitchen in the area to help other entrepreneurs in the community access a facility closer to home.

Rep. Haas concluded, “Not only has Fershawnda worked to grow her own business, but she has dedicated her effort to helping other up-and-coming entrepreneurs in our community. I applaud her continued contributions to other area businesses and look forward to seeing Poppin Plates expand in the future!”

Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator is located at 64 Lester Road in Park Forest. For more information visit PoppinPlatesLLC.com.
