State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) recently recognized a local business in her 79th legislative district as part of her monthly business spotlight program. The Local Business Spotlight for May is Moon Cookie Gallery located at 187 S. Schuyler Ave Suite 150 in Kankakee.
Rep. Haas visited the Moon Cookie Gallery this week to present owner Natalie Seaton with an official certificate recognizing her service to the community! Natalie opened Moon Cookie 6 years ago with a desire to open a brick and mortar location for local artists to sell their work. Moon Cookie started with 15 artists and now features 50 different artists.
“Moon Cookie Gallery is known for its beautiful and unique collection of gifts and art,” said Haas. “You can find jewelry, lotions, art, honey, and cards made by local artists, just to name a few products. This is definitely a local favorite. I am pleased to have this business be a part of the larger 79th District and encourage our local residents to stop by and see it for themselves!”
Moon Cookie Gallery is open Tuesday-Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 9am-2pm.
